The first week of August delivered, and this drop has some range to it: seven annual leases scattered across the East Texas Pineywoods, plus two dove leases that landed just in time for hunters staring down the September opener. Whether you're after a year-round deer camp in timber country or a spot under the sunflowers on opening weekend, this week has an answer.

The East Texas Annual Leases: Seven Tracts in Timber Country
Seven new annual leases came online across the Pineywoods and Northeast Texas timber country — and there's a tract here for every kind of hunter and every size of camp. All seven run on a full-year license term, July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, which means you're not just buying deer season. You're getting spring and summer scouting, feeder and stand setup on your own schedule, and month after month in the woods.
Jasper County — 1,239 acres. The flagship of this week's drop. Over twelve hundred acres of Pineywoods ground in deep Southeast Texas, with no entry permit required. Tracts this size don't surface often, and they don't sit long. If you've got a crew and you've been waiting on a lease big enough to spread out on, this is the one to move on.
Polk County — 990 acres. Nearly a thousand acres in the heart of the Pineywoods, north of the Big Thicket country. An entry permit is required for access.
Tyler County — 334 acres. A solid mid-size tract in one of East Texas's most storied hunting counties. Entry permit required.
Panola County — 139 acres. Northeast Texas timber ground along the Louisiana line. A manageable size for a small group or a father-and-son operation. Entry permit required.
Cass County — 50 acres and Marion County — 52 acres. Two right-sized tracts in far Northeast Texas, and neither requires an entry permit. If you've been priced out or crowded out of the big club leases, tracts like these are how you get your own piece of the timber without sharing it with a dozen other guns.
San Augustine County — 23 acres. The most accessible entry point in this week's drop. A compact tract in classic deep East Texas country, on the same full-year term. Entry permit required.
Waller County — Seasonal Dove Lease, Five Properties Strong
This one is built for the Houston-area dove hunter. A season-long dove lease with access to five properties spread across Harris and Waller counties — all five available throughout the regular season, and two of them staying open for the late winter season.
The ground itself checks every box you want in dove country: corn, ponds and a reservoir, scattered trees, fence rows, and gravel roads for easy access. Multiple properties means you're not locked into one field's luck — when the birds shift, you shift with them.
Archer County — Dove Season Lease in Sunflower Country
Up in North Texas, about seven miles from Olney, a dove season lease just opened up with multiple sunflower fields that are holding a lot of birds. This is classic Rolling Plains dove country, and the sunflowers are doing exactly what sunflowers do.
What sets this one apart is the camp setup: on-site RV hookups are available, with lodging options opening up after the first week of September, and nearby hotels and Airbnbs if you'd rather bunk in town. That makes this a legitimate destination hunt — bring the trailer, bring your buddies, and make a weekend of it.
Spots are limited, and with the opener only weeks out, this one won't wait.
