New Leases Just Hit the Board — and the Big July Drop Is Still Loaded
Five weeks. That's about all that stands between you and the dove opener, and if you've been sitting on the fence about locking in a lease, this is the week to climb down off it.

Lodging options are available for groups of six or more — which makes it a strong pick for a company hunt or a big family opener. 3,000-Acre Dove Season Lease — Waller County
An hour or so out of Houston, 3,000 acres with 900 acres of standing corn spread across four separate locations. Four spots to rotate means you're not burning out one field by mid-September — when one location gets pressured, you move to the next and let the birds settle.
This one's a season lease, so it's yours from the opener on through. For Houston-area hunters tired of fighting the crowds on public fields, a full season of private corn in Waller County is about as good as it gets close to home.

2,000-Acre Seasonal Hunting Lease — Sterling County
Now for the big-game hunters. A 2,000-acre ranch just outside Sterling City has two spots open for the 2026–2027 season — and only two. This lease has been running for 28 years, which in the lease world tells you everything: hunters don't stay on a place that long unless the hunting holds up.
It's managed for trophy whitetail, rifle hunting is permitted, and the ranch has water and electricity on site. Beyond the deer, you're looking at turkey, quail, and year-round predator hunting to keep the rifle warm in the off-season. West Texas mixed-bag country with a track record — these spots will not sit open long.

A 1,284-acre seasonal lease in Runnels County running dove, duck, quail, turkey, and pigs, with feeders and protein provided and a campsite with septic and electric.
A 1,000-acre annual lease in Gray and Donley Counties with rolling hills, native grass, and plum thickets — whitetail and quail country with a campground on site.
A 13,000-acre day dove lease in Sutton County out of Sonora — the biggest piece of dove ground on the board.
A 10,000-acre day dove lease in Collin County where kids hunt free — one of the best family opportunities we've listed all year.
